Last week we looked at John the Apostle’s second letter to the church where he urged us to walk in the truth of the Gospel, but to be cautious about deceivers and false teachers. This Sunday, in his third letter, John encourages us to care for and support those who serve God’s people. This Sunday we conclude our time in the book of Acts. Over the past months we have learned how, following the return of Jesus to the Father, the church grew and spread by the power of the Holy Spirit through the Apostles and in particular Paul. But although this is the end of Paul’s missionary journeys, the story continues; the Holy Spirit still draws people to God through faith in Jesus Christ.
